Aubrey Schifman

Aubrey’s Montessori education began as a toddler at Bannockburn School. She continued in Montessori until she graduated Upper Elementary. Aubrey graduated York University and then worked in a Montessori school as an Office Manager from 2004 to 2011. After this she began working as an assistant in a Montessori classroom.

It seemed only natural to enrol her own children in the program, once they were old enough.  Seeing what Montessori brought to her children as well as her own experiences assisting in casa classrooms inspired her to take the Montessori Early Childhood training course at the Toronto Montessori Institute in 2014. Aubrey’s personal experience and that of her children has taught her that the Montessori method is effective in giving the child the tools they need for success by allowing them to actively and independently participate in their own learning.
